On June 24, 2026, CHI Health held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new 50,000 square foot orthopedic center at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha. Speakers included Dr. Ranjan Gupta, Mark Longacre, and Julie Gernetzke of CommonSpirit Health. The facility is established to house Creighton's new orthopedic surgery residency and training program. This expansion provides a dedicated space for advanced surgical education and specialized orthopedic care for patients within the Omaha community.
