The Chicago Plan Commission granted the first municipal approval for Amazon's fourth local delivery center in the city. This 235,137 square foot facility will be situated at the former Central Steel & Wire plant on 51st St. Amazon previously purchased the site in 2021 for $35 million, marking one of the largest land deals in Chicago at that time.
