On Sunday, July 12, 2026, IBEW Local 22 in Omaha hosted a Community Food Security Barbecue. Dr. Alex Dworak and Tim Williams from Food Bank for the Heartland spoke, while Joan Jakoubek shared her SNAP experience. The event featured the Families Over Billionaires bus, where Kristen Crowell and Maddalena Intravartolo were present. Additionally, Pissed-Off Grandmas founder Marilyn Hooper displayed materials as attendees grilled food and gathered in the shade to support food security initiatives.
