On July 23, 2026, independent U.S. Senate candidate Dan Osborn held a press conference in Syracuse. Simultaneously, at the Tim Moylan Tranquility Iceplex in Omaha, Omaha Hockey Club house commissioner Molly Diamond reflected on memories of 11-year-old hockey player Logan Rahn. Rahn had been struck by a vehicle on July 14, 2026, and subsequently died. A flier requesting donations and prayers for the young athlete was displayed at the iceplex during the event.
