On Monday, August 31, 2026, the Virginia Museum of History & Culture in Richmond, Va., showcased a piece of the Pentagon. Also on display was the Freedom Flag, which was designed by Richard Melito, a restaurant owner from Henrico. Both the Pentagon fragment and the Freedom Flag were exhibited on a table within the museum, marking a significant presentation of these items to the public at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture facility.
