On Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, Omaha police responded to a west Omaha home near 145th Street and Shirley Avenue after a man allegedly forced entry following a pursuit. The man subsequently died by suicide. Separately, a Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge match took place at Wrigley Field in Chicago. During the first set, Missouri's Paige Felder competed against Nebraska's Harper Murray and Andi Jackson. These events occurred simultaneously across different locations on the same date.
