On Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, Nebraska players arrived in Lincoln for a college football game against the Maryland Terrapins. In preparation for the event, workers organized red balloons to be distributed to fans attending the matchup between the Huskers and the Terrapins. These activities took place prior to the start of the game, ensuring both the athletes and the stadium atmosphere were ready for the scheduled collegiate football competition between the two teams.
