On Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, U.S. President Donald Trump scheduled a campaign event at Fonner Park in Grand Island. Attendees queued outside the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center awaiting the speech. Security arrangements featured a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle parked near the facility. Furthermore, cattle haulers were used to block off areas outside the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center. These measures were implemented to secure the perimeter before the President addressed the crowd at the campaign event.
