18 suspects accused in the July 2021 killing of Haiti’s president being extradited from Haiti to US

Eighteen suspects arrested for the July 2021 assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse are being extradited to the United States for trial in Florida. U.S. Attorney Jason Reding Quiñones stated that 30 suspects were indicted, with 18 transported via military plane. Individuals remaining in Haiti awaiting trial include a former police officer, a former Ministry of Justice employee, and more than a dozen Colombian soldiers. The legal process follows the killing of the president in Port-au-Prince.
