16-year-old charged as second suspect in 2024 Chatham quadruple shooting that killed 14-year-old, 2 others

A 16-year-old has been charged as the second suspect in a February 25, 2024, quadruple shooting in Chatham, which killed 14-year-old Amere Deese and two others. The teenager faces three counts of first-degree murder, six related murder charges, and one count of attempted murder. Separately, 18-year-old Ti'Yon Hackett of Mechanicsville has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with a homicide that occurred in June. Both cases involve serious charges of violent crime.
