Man, 45, critically wounded in South Shore shooting

A 45-year-old man was critically injured during a shooting in South Shore on Monday afternoon. Chicago police report the victim was standing near the 7800 block of South South Shore Drive around 2:53 p.m. when a suspect on a scooter fired multiple shots. The victim was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. Area Two detectives are currently investigating the incident, and two persons of interest have been detained for questioning.
