Crews put out house fire on County Road in Southampton

An investigation is currently underway following a fatal house fire that occurred Sunday afternoon in Jefferson County, Missouri. The Saline Valley Fire Protection District reported the incident happened shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Jeanette Drive near Arnold. Emergency officials discovered two elderly individuals at the scene; unfortunately, an elderly man died in the blaze, and a woman sustained injuries. Fire crews successfully extinguished the flames on the County Road located in the Southampton area.
