WATCH: Many 9/11 first responders face lasting health effects 25 years later

Twenty-five years after 9/11, many first responders continue to face lasting health effects resulting from exposure to smoke, dust, and debris at ground zero. According to the WTC Health Program, approximately 400,000 individuals were exposed to toxins, stressful conditions, and risks of physical injury during the aftermath. These affected individuals are currently navigating ongoing illnesses and fighting for necessary benefits to address the long-term medical consequences of their service at the site.
