2 more beluga whales die at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium

Two additional beluga whales have died at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium. The deceased include Beethoven, a 34-year-old resident of the aquarium's beluga pod, and Rain, a 20-year-old female rescued from a closed Canadian aquatic park known for poor conditions. These deaths follow the recent passing of another rescued beluga named Peekachu. Shedd Aquarium officials stated in a Thursday announcement that it remains unclear if the deaths of Rain and Beethoven were related to one another.
