Barbershop quartet singers descend on downtown St. Louis

The Barbershop Harmony Society has brought 5,000 singers from 12 countries to downtown St. Louis for its international convention. This eight-day musical soiree, hosted by the city for the third time, features quartets from nations including the United States, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Japan, and Thailand. Simultaneously, St. Louis Public Schools has filed a countersuit against its fired superintendent, adding a legal dimension to the current local news cycle in the city.
