A successful film begins with a great lead, says ‘The Weight’s’ director

Director Padraic McKinley explains that the success of the film The Weight stemmed from securing a strong lead and a core group of seven actors. He emphasizes that these performers needed to harmonize both personally and professionally, comparing their dynamic to that of a band. According to McKinley, finding a cast that got along as people and as actors was the fundamental element required to ensure the overall success of the cinematic production.
