Afghan Who Helped U.S. Died in ICE Custody Due to Allergic Reaction

Mohammad Nazeer Paktiawal, an Afghan man who supported the United States military for over ten years, died in ICE custody. His death certificate attributes the fatality to an adverse drug reaction causing anaphylaxis and worsening asthma. Released three months later, the document contains significant errors; AfghanEvac notes it falsely lists his death date as March 12, one day before he entered custody.
