Sony Pictures Entertainment Invests $100 Million, Takes Minority Stake in Cosm

Sony Pictures Entertainment has invested $100 million in Cosm, leading its Series C financing round to acquire a minority ownership stake. Cosm operates immersive dome-like venues across the U.S., providing shared-reality experiences for movies and live sports. As part of this strategic transaction, Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman and CEO Ravi Ahuja will join the board of directors of the entertainment and tech company to support its focus on immersive shared-reality programming and venue operations.
