MLC Election Results 2026: BJP, Allies Win 16 Seats, SP Bags 5 Including Varanasi, Congress Wins Nagpur

In the 2026 MLC elections, BJP and its allies secured 16 out of 28 seats. The Samajwadi Party won five seats, including both the teachers' and graduates' constituencies in Varanasi. Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP's performance in Varanasi as double zero. Additionally, Congress won the Nagpur graduates' MLC seat, which is considered a setback for the BJP in the RSS stronghold and the home turf of Devendra Fadnavis, sending a clear message to Mohan Bhagwat and Narendra Modi.
