Alibaba plans AI model with 5 trillion to 10 trillion parameters, unveils new chip

Alibaba has unveiled the Zhenwu V900 AI chip, developed by its T-Head semiconductor unit. This chip reportedly delivers three times the computing performance of the previous Zhenwu M890. Additionally, Alibaba plans to develop an AI model featuring 5 trillion to 10 trillion parameters. CEO Wu Yongming stated that the company's AI strategy focuses on models, chips, and cloud infrastructure, with Alibaba Cloud targeting 20GW of cloud data centers by the year 2032.
