All 10 climbers swept away by an avalanche in Pakistan have died, the Alpine Club of Pakistan said Saturday

The Alpine Club of Pakistan and Elite Expeditions confirmed on Saturday that ten climbers died after being swept away by an avalanche on Broad Peak. Among the deceased is renowned climber Nirmal Purja, who was leading the group. Search teams are currently operating in the region to recover the bodies of the victims. The incident resulted in the total loss of all ten individuals involved in the expedition during the mountain ascent in Pakistan.
