Amazon set to expand drone delivery of certain packages to Chicago suburbs

Amazon is expanding its drone delivery services to nearly 500 locales, including the Chicago suburbs. This initiative focuses on the delivery of specific packages, such as Amazon Prime boxes and envelopes, directly to residential front doors. The expansion leverages the company's logistics network to enhance delivery efficiency. This move follows the operational framework of Amazon Flex, aiming to broaden the reach of autonomous aerial deliveries across a significantly larger number of geographic locations.
