Amazon cuts nearly 150 Bay Area jobs

Amazon is reducing its workforce in the Bay Area, cutting nearly 150 positions. According to a state filing with the Employment Development Department, the e-commerce giant will eliminate 70 jobs in Sunnyvale and 78 roles at its San Francisco office on Bush Street. Additionally, combined with cuts from Synopsys, more than 275 tech jobs are being removed across the region. These reductions reflect broader staffing changes currently being implemented by the companies within the local tech sector.
