Amazon is walking away from its Sam Altman movie months after deepening ties with OpenAI

Amazon MGM Studios has dropped the movie Artificial, directed by Luca Guadagnino, which focuses on OpenAI and its founder Sam Altman. This decision follows a period where Amazon and OpenAI deepened their professional ties earlier this year. The company stated that Artificial would be better served if released by a different studio. The project is being walked away from despite the strengthening partnership between the tech giant and the AI company during the current year.
