Amazon Pledges To Give Up NDAs, Give Back $1 Billion To Communities In Data-Center Buildout

Amazon Web Services pledged to spend $1 billion over the next five years upgrading water and heat systems in homes, schools, and municipal buildings. This initiative aims to win over local communities concerned about AI data centers. Additionally, AWS promised to stop requiring local NDAs. These investments are intended to ease local opposition, foster community goodwill, and potentially influence future data center policies and expansions as the company continues its infrastructure buildout across various regions.
