Milford unveils Freedom Memorial on 25th anniversary of 9/11

Various communities marked the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with solemn commemorations. In Milford, over 400 people gathered at a terraced hillside park for the unveiling of the Freedom Memorial to honor the lives lost and sacrifices made. Simultaneously, the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets in Blacksburg observed the anniversary through a solemn salute and the firing of blank rounds over the city skyline to remember the victims of the deadliest attack on American soil.
