American missionary kidnapped in Niger free after nearly one year

President Donald Trump announced that American missionary Kevin Rideout has returned to United States custody after being held by a terrorist group in Niger. Kidnapped in Niamey on October 21 by three armed individuals, Rideout remained in captivity for approximately nine months. SIM International confirmed that the missionary is in good health and currently under the care of U.S. officials. Rideout is now set to be reunited with his extended family following his successful release.
