Amos Kipruto won the 2026 Chicago Marathon after previously finishing second and third. Kipruto took control during the second half of the race, finishing with an unofficial time of 2:01.09. He defeated defending champion Jacob Kiplimo, who finished fourth in 2:04.18. Tadese Bikila secured second place with a time of 2:02.56. This victory marks the second win for Kipruto at the event, successfully completing his upward trajectory in the competition over the last three years.
