Analog Devices acquires Alif Semiconductor for $1.35B to bolster edge AI capabilities

Analog Devices has agreed to acquire Alif Semiconductor for $1.35 billion in cash, with an additional $200 million potentially available based on performance. This strategic acquisition aims to bolster Analog Devices' edge AI capabilities by integrating microcontrollers designed to run neural networks directly within devices, reducing reliance on data centres.
