Anduril unveils Thunder attack helicopter, a new loyal wingman drone

Anduril has unveiled Thunder, a fully autonomous armed reconnaissance tiltrotor aircraft designed as a loyal wingman for the US Army. Developed from Fury aircraft lessons, Thunder is built to operate in hostile airspace at low altitudes, supporting crewed helicopters like the AH-64 Apache and MV-75 Cheyenne II. This pilotless attack rotorcraft aims to absorb risks posed by cheap drones and loitering munitions, providing a safer alternative for missions where crewed helicopters face increasing danger.
