Anthropic proposes plumbing spec to link AI agents to lab kit and robots

Anthropic, led by Dario Amodei, is introducing the Model Hardware Standard (MHS). This new plumbing specification is designed to link AI agents directly to robots, lab kits, and various physical machines. The MHS enables AI agents to interact with physical devices to solve complex problems, such as diagnosing broken centrifuges during Uranium enrichment. This advancement allows AI to control hardware and physical systems more effectively by establishing a standardized connection between software and machinery.
