Apple pitches its new phones, watches, and AirPods as vehicles for AI

Apple CEO John Ternus introduced the iPhone 18 series, Duo foldable phone, AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12, and Ultra 4 as intelligent personal hubs. These devices are purpose-built to leverage personal and contextual data through enhanced on-device AI processing. Notably, the new AirPods 5 start at $129, making them cheaper than previous versions while introducing standard Active Noise Cancellation. Apple is focusing on hardware power to shift AI processes from the cloud directly to the device.
