China approves Apple Intelligence for iPhones, with Alibaba, Baidu emerging as partners

China has granted regulatory approval for Apple Intelligence, enabling the launch of locally adapted AI features. The system will integrate Alibaba's Qwen AI model and Baidu technology across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS. Following this confirmation, Alibaba stock rose by 4%. The Cyberspace Administration of China included Apple AI services on its list of approved providers, placing them alongside Huawei products to ensure the deployment of AI experiences for users within the Chinese market.
