Apple and LG team up on new smart home gear, starting with a lock, doorbell, and thermostat

Apple is collaborating with LG Electronics to expand its smart home ecosystem. LG is developing a wired video doorbell, thermostat, smart deadbolt lock, temperature sensor, and various security cameras, including indoor, outdoor, and floodlight models. While these devices will carry LG branding, Apple reportedly assisted in their development. These products are designed to integrate with Apple's rumored smart home hub, which is expected to launch during an event scheduled for October 13th.
