Apple Giving Some Mac Mini Customers a Free Upgrade

Apple is providing free upgrades to customers who ordered the Mac mini with an M4 chip that has not yet shipped. These users are being automatically upgraded to the new Mac mini featuring M6 or M5 Pro chips at no extra cost. Because the new model's starting price in the U.S. increased from 799 to 899, some customers are effectively receiving a 100 discount on their purchase of the latest hardware version.
