Apple says iPhone Duo has ‘replaceable’ folding display layer to minimize crease

Apple's vice president of hardware engineering, Kate Bergeron, revealed that the iPhone Duo features a replaceable nano-texture cover layer above its inner folding display. This specific design aims to minimize the visible crease that typically develops over time on foldable screens. Customers in the U.S. with AppleCare+ coverage can have this layer replaced for 19. However, Apple has not yet disclosed the replacement cost for users who do not have the aforementioned coverage plan.
