‘Nocturne’ Review: Liev Schreiber and Stephen Graham Get Handcuffed by Clichés in Apple’s Dully Competent Serial Killer Thriller

Apple TV has released Nocturne, a mystery thriller series from Rowan Joffé based on a Swedish novel. The plot follows a retired cop, played by Liev Schreiber, who must confront a murderer he previously helped imprison while solving disappearances. The series also stars Stephen Graham and Zazie Beetz, featuring elements of serial killers and undercover cops. While described as competently made, the show is noted for relying on common genre clichés throughout its narrative.
