Apple’s EU App Store truce: What changed — and who’s still angry?

Apple has modified its App Store fee structure in the EU to comply with the Digital Markets Act (DMA). The company introduced a simplified 5% Core Technology fee for digital transactions in apps distributed outside the App Store, while eliminating store services and initial acquisition fees. Although the European Commission welcomed these changes and will monitor implementation, Epic Games dismissed the new system as junk, arguing that the improvements on paper hide problematic details.
