PaperToProfit: Turning Handwritten Dhaba Bills into Revenue & Profit Intelligence with Open-Source AI and TabPFN

PlateProfit AI and PaperToProfit are open-source AI submissions for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge. PlateProfit AI focuses on restaurant management to reduce food waste, manage inventory, and analyze profitability to prevent financial losses. Meanwhile, PaperToProfit utilizes TabPFN to convert handwritten dhaba bills and carbon pads into revenue intelligence. This addresses the inefficiency of analog ordering systems in South Asian eateries, providing a cost-effective alternative to expensive commercial POS systems like Toast, Petpooja, or Lightspeed.
