San Diego County filed a lawsuit against a major sushi provider operating in California supermarkets and specialty stores. The provider is accused of misclassifying sushi chefs as independent contractors, leading to low wages and legal violations. Separately, oversight officials released body camera footage of the 2021 fatal shooting of Chicago Police Officer Ella French. The video captures the routine traffic stop where French was killed and Officer Carlos Yáñez Jr. was seriously injured.
