Arson blamed for fire at historic Washington County church

The State fire marshal confirmed that the fire at the historic Dennysville-Edmunds Congregational Church in Washington County was intentionally set. Similarly, officials in Buffalo, N.Y., determined that a Tuesday fire at the former St. Ann's Church on Emslie Street was arson. Emergency crews responded to the St. Ann's site around 5:45 p.m., eventually containing the blaze, which was described as both a three-alarm and four-alarm fire during the containment process by responding crews.
