Judge who attended Fani Willis campaign event recuses from DOJ voting lawsuit

U.S. District Judge Eleanor Ross recused herself on Monday from a major voter roll lawsuit filed by the Department of Justice against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. The decision followed an investigation revealing that Ross attended a campaign event for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Although Ross did not agree with all assertions made by the DOJ, she granted the motion for her disqualification from the case involving the Trump administration's legal challenges.
