This announcement occurred during the New York Comic-Con panel for Avatar: Seven Havens, which also secured renewals for Books 3 and 4. The new production expands the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe by exploring a previous Avatar's history, marking a significant addition to the franchise's growing animated lineup on the streaming platform.
