Average WNBA salary is $518K in 2026. Most players make less

According to a USA TODAY analysis of Spotrac data, the average WNBA salary for 2026 is approximately $518,000. However, this figure does not represent the typical player's earnings, as the median salary is considerably lower at $350,000. This data indicates that while the average is pushed higher by top earners, most players in the league earn significantly less than the reported average, highlighting a notable disparity in compensation across the WNBA roster for 2026.
