L.A. County suing State Farm for delayed response to wildfire claims

Los Angeles County has filed a historic lawsuit against State Farm Insurance regarding the mishandling of wildfire claims from the Eaton and Palisades fires. Supervisors Kathryn Barger and Lindsey Horvath stated that hundreds of policyholders face extreme delays in processing and payments for rebuilding. This legal action coincides with a separate pursuit by California to secure millions in penalties against State Farm, as the state also takes legal measures over the insurance company's response to these disasters.
