BBC Names Ex-‘Panorama’ Editor Rachel Jupp As Director Of News

The BBC has officially appointed Rachel Jupp, the former editor of Panorama, as the new Director of News and Current Affairs. Jupp succeeds Deborah Turness, who resigned last November following a significant editorial scandal involving an edited speech by Donald Trump. Jupp was previously identified as one of four candidates on the shortlist for the position, which is regarded as the most prominent role in British journalism, taking over the leadership of the organization's news division.
