SJC blocks tax cut measure from appearing on November ballot

The SJC has blocked a tax cut measure from the November ballot, stating that the proposal's summary materially misstates its true scope and is therefore unfair. Meanwhile, the Billionaire Tax Act, which proposes a one-time wealth tax on billionaires residing in California, has successfully qualified for the November ballot.
