Boeing wins $2B Space Force contract for 2 new MUOS satellites

Boeing has been awarded a $2B contract by the Space Force to develop two new MUOS satellites, surpassing Lockheed Martin in the selection process. These next-generation communications satellites are scheduled for launch no earlier than 2031 and 2032. According to the SSC, this MUOS Service Life Extension program is designed to ensure the constellation remains operational through 2035, providing critical communication capabilities for the Space Force well into the mid-2030s.
