Runway: A Private AI Financial Companion I Built for a Friend

Two developers created AI financial companions for the Hacktoberfest Weekend Challenge. Runway assists a freelancer with irregular income by answering real-time affordability questions, moving beyond traditional budgeting tools that only show past spending. Meanwhile, FinTrack AI helps users transition from manual Excel sheets to an AI-powered system. It focuses on a local-first approach, allowing users to upload existing records to automate transaction entry, data organization, and spending pattern analysis without learning a new system.
