Book Returns to Australian Library After Going Missing for 150 Years

A book on Greek antiquities has returned to an Australian public library after being missing for 150 years. The volume was discovered bricked into a fireplace and suffered water damage. Although the book carried an enormous fine according to Victorian lending rules, librarians decided to forgive the debt rather than collect it. The original borrower has vanished, but the long-overdue item is now back at the library after a century and a half.
